this belongs in trance.

detuned synths with snares? it already belongs in trance..
come on, man....

SKILLZmakeKILLZ responds:

i disagree.

Synths and snares with a nice kick and bass to me implys techno.
i didnt think the synths were detuned either, but thats my opinion.
if they were then what synth isnt?

trance is more rythmic with plucks and arpeggios. and not such a heavy kick.
also trance is lower energy and more repetitive to me.

alright!

i like the festive holiday flavor! the one thing i recommend would be that you change the bass drum from the default flstudio bass drum to something more appropriate for this style of music. that, and change the velocity of the drums.
but dont use the fl studio defaults... they just...dont fit.
ps, i could barily hear them, so you might want to amp em up to!

okay!

like the idea.
several of the synth pitch rises and drops kind of annoyed me, but for the most part, nice job.

kinghousemusic responds:

Thank you, this really is not my best work so I'm glad you liked it :3

alright, i like the improvement!

I like the improvement from your previous tracks bro. just to let you know, you can cut certain tracks, like hi hat tracks, for example, by another track in FL studio (if that is what you're using) but its usually a feature in every sequencer. you gotta cut out the pedal up hi hat with the pedal down hi hat otherwise one overlaps into the other. the rest of the track was good, the one thing that i had trouble was the hi hat, and that was it! but the rest is mastered very well.

honestly

honestly, since i first heard this song idk how long ago, i thought you were some experienced dubstep creator. now i looked at the song comment, and i noticed something totally different; this is your first time with dubstep!
impressive! my gosh, this is one of my favorite songs! ever! bravo! keep it up! your a dubstep mastermind.

ok, i see potential.

the guitar really drowns out the drums.
youve gotta lower the guitar and up the drums.
it was all very in sync for a basic submission tho. keep working, and be sure to keep me posted about when the final version comes out. inbox me.

ruddyhell responds:

thanks for the advice and will do!

enjoyable

i liked the effects for the most part.
the problem is, i didnt really like some of the synths. some of them i really liked. but some of them were just too annoying, and got really painful on the ears over time. keep searching for that sound thats just right!

nice

i really like the wip bro. it sheds a light onto the trance style, while still keeping its house roots. i really like what you did here, guy. i always like a loud kick, but for the flavor of this bro, start it out a bit more quietly, and let it build like you were doing. it would add more depth and variation. speaking of variation, make sure you vary the velocity of each of the kicks. you need it to be constant, but it was almost too constant. but so far, i like what youve done! keep it up! make the final scream success!

close, but not close enough!

mas volume, por favor!
louder! pump it up, bro guy! you can do better! i like the beginning. with an intro like that, you have so much more to offer for the main riff. make those drums louder, introduce a better bass, with a few more synths. dont underestimate the usage of velocity changes. velocity changes more than you think. you can also introduce a lot more synths. alright, well nice job over all with chord progression and musical idea, but so far youve just gotta make it a bit more hard hitting, then it will sound super boss!

eatmeatleet responds:

thanks for review, man. Didn't expect any comments on this track. Thanks for input!

alright alright!

youve got some kinda reverse kick that i really dig.
its kind of all slow build up to somehting huge that never unleashes.
you need kick! you need bass!
pump that bass drum!
velocity makes a difference.
you could have really dropped some serious stuff here! that was so legit!
you just never took that initiative to make some huge thing! i really love it! i love the chord progression and everything!

viewtifulday responds:

Whoa, this was probably the most inspirational feedback I've ever read in my life
