I can barely hear the drums, which is a little disappointing.
try getting that bass drum poppin a little more.
but i think it's alright, more related to a pop genre.

Evil-Gandalf responds:

Thanks for the listen, rating, and feedback! =) I'm terrible at mastering/EQ and I dunno what to do about it! X_X But I'll see what I can do! =D

more jazz like, but i gotcha.
nice stuff.

Arkaft responds:

Yeah... I don't know :P I never listen to this type of music actually. Just for fun ;) But thank you :)

I don't understand how you do so well, making the most simple loops I've ever heard, using the stock flstudio drums, and having nothing going on in terms of harmony/ambiance...
whatever, though...
i guess how that's how this industry works. someone gets noticed, and then, yeah... there's a cult following.
only thing i really like are your melodies.
honest opinion.
g'day

kirja100 responds:

Thanks :)

Dude, you're still killing it.
Love your work.

15thDimension responds:

thanks dude, always glad to hear it!

this song is really, really nice! :)
-the only things i think you can change, is this one awkward part in the drum sequencing, when the bass drum comes in on the off beat. it's a little to loud to make it flow smoothly.
-you may want to pick a more bridge pickup, treble sound for the beginning riff.
-around the 1:56 min. marker, the synth got pretty loud and screechy. If you make it a little smoother, you can keep the synth this loud, but making it more pleasant on the ears. (however, i do like the screechy synth from before, so you can keep that :))
great job :)

Fantastic man, thanks a bunch for the feedback. Like I said, being rough around the edges, frequency balance and arrangement issue were all a concern, so it's awesome to hear some suggestions. Thanks for the review!

dat fruity loop default drum kit...
coming from a producer, i can see that it didnt take much time at all for you to make this ;)
ahaha.
but i like it a lot.

Genraltweet responds:

Hehehe, it didn't take much time at all ;) But thanks! :D

I like the blues structure you use. we should get together and do some song together. I have a lot experience with producing, maybe we could blast out a nice track :)
just a little sample of what i've made. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/467825
did everything myself.
message me if you're up for it.
(PS, the drums I sequenced myself, and i've gotten a lot better with natural sounding sequencing since then, but for this song, i was going to make a wayyyyy better drum track, then i just got lazy :P)
but if you wanna try something, go for it.

frank-n-furter666 responds:

hey, glad you enjoyed it. I checked out the link, and i absolutely love it. I will be getting to you very soon, and we'll set somethin up. Look forward to workin with you. :)

you gotta sing an octave up, because your voice can hit that register, you'd need to do some practicing in expanding your voice's registers. anyhow, this really isn't blues...but okay..
i liked it.

TylerFromTexas responds:

Alright. I changed it to General Rock.

work on that multitrack recording, and that sound quality.
almost more folk themed.
otherwise, generally good. i liked it.

C-G-B responds:

Yeah my mic right now sucks and it works 1 out of 10 times so until I get a new one I'm just screwing around.

i definitely dont feel that this track deserves a 3...
not all songs need a big bass, and this is a good example. it didnt need a hard bass until you gave it one.
i liked how it started out! it was unexpected. it started out ambient, and then went to a slow swing gated breakdown. i REALLY REALLY liked that. i thought you would start it off big and fast after the ambient voices, but no. you took it a different direction at the get go, which i both appreciate and admire.
the song was pretty good. could have been a bit better thought out for the ending, however.
anyhow, i liked it. it's there, but not quite. nice track

YakovlevArt responds:

Thanks for the extensive review. I really appreciate when another producer/user tells how much they liked a part or what they didn't like. I understand that most people would like the slower drum part to have "moar bass" because that part sounds like weak dubstep, which it's not. But I can see the confusion.
Thanks for the kind words. If the final version doesn't get signed, I'll release it for free on here.
I'll let you know then.
