very good!

i really liked it!
you just gotta work on velocity distribution between tracks and thats about it.
maybe pump up those drums. find the right stuff to do it.
i have faith you can make some pretty great stuff if you just do the minor tweaking!
the minor stuff effects it in the long run!
keep treking, bro, you'll get it it right!
i really like it tho!

montehawks responds:

thanks so much! (i just noticed your review)

however this song is long gone... i've since updated to a new computer and the company i chose to backup my data failed in listening when i said "for the love of god save all of my FL STUDIO files!!!"

i may have the vocals lying around somewhere tho... hmmm

okay..

alright, i like some of the synths you were able to get out of this.
you just need more going on. its not layered enough.
otherwise, its not too shabby.

alright, i like the general idea.

if ur gunna use some fruity loops pads.. disguise it by adding some varied pogo to the notes, or at least use some effects. you can never go wrong with effects.
learn the program a bit better, and ull get better at what u do. uk how to make drum lines and stuff tho. make sure u increase the velocity on those bass notes. the velocity might seem a little insignificant for now, but it makes a big difference in the long run.
and make sure u get multiple instrument tracks going.
u need some form of melody, pads are usually a basis for a melody to be layered on top of by some sort of saw, sine, or some kinda nice lead wave.
And DONT FORGET THE BASS!
but seriously man, mess around with the velocity with the drums, it give the piece a greater depth! what you have here is a pretty good skeleton for a track.
good luck for the future, and keep trekking.

i like the work so far man.

change those velocities on those high hats. vary them.
and bring in the synths a little earlier.
but so far so good!
you could amp up the bass drum by heightening the velocities.

haha, very nice!

u gotta up the drums man!

DJsohlinyin responds:

up the drums as in heavier? or more complex??

very nice!

i like it man! you just got bring up that bass drum!

keosni391 responds:

well if you got some good speakers you can clearly hear that big bassdrum :)

alright?

just confused on what you were trying to do here... i dont understand your time signature... it like changes up... like... i dont know how to tap my foot to this really...

GhandiBoi responds:

You're right. This is probably the hardest song I've ever had the pleasure of creating due to the differences in beat and rythm.

i like

i like it man.
we're pretty much at the same stage in our electronic music producing life now. i mean, ive been doing this for years (here and there) and i can tell you probably have too. i like this track man, ill have to check some more off ur stuff. your phaser almost sounds too intense, just to let you know. but so far, im digging it! keep rockin.

Druix responds:

Thanks man, and yeah, I've been on and off for about a year now, a bunch of things I haven't published. Thanks for the tip.

okay okay :)

your amp settings for your guitar imput made it scratchy and hard to listen to. and you gotta bring up ur drums, and add some high hat. and also play with the velocity. the velocity even adds more than volume adjustments. and you gotta change the chord progression sometime, man.. i mean, i dont like playing arpreggios 50 times nor do i like listening to them 50 times...
for experemental stuff, not too bad man! keep up the good work, im curious to see what you got in the future.
heres one thing you can do that i have a hard time doing however; you can make a melody.
see, im better with drums and harmony, but you know how to supply the bulk of the meat. you need to work on getting the depth in the drums and harmony lines, and you'll be making amazing stuff!
ill stay tuned!

BobMarleyClock responds:

Thanks a lot! I've been told I have trouble with the percussion side of music. I don't have the patience to try all the different drums sounds in FL Studio. But thanks for the advice definitely. I'll see if I can put it to use.

Alright, if you want my honest opinion...

I'm sorry man, I never give bad reviews ever. But i'm not sure you exactly knew what you were attempting to accomplish at the end of this track. Every thing seems really offbeat and disorganized, its not even ambient, it's very messy, and i don't know exactly where to latch on to the song. You really might want to have something in mind before attacking something like this. Exactly what sequencer are you using to make your tracks?

Ironclover responds:

Well its only a demo, but I tried to make it feel pimpy, and I based it off of Pimp Quest's Menu Music.
